It all started in Central Coast, NSW, Australia, in 2014. Like many great ideas, ours was born out of a simple frustration: why was men’s underwear still so unhealthy and ugly? We realized that the classic boxer brief design, while preventing chafing, had a major hidden flaw—it trapped heat.
We weren’t just thinking about comfort; we were thinking about men’s health. The science is clear: overheating down under can negatively impact sperm count and testosterone production, a fact supported by research, including studies from Harvard University and the University of Wisconsin.
We knew there had to be a better way.
The Revolution: Aircon Underwear and Mr Right Underwear
After years of research, design, and testing, we achieved a breakthrough. We invented and patented a revolutionary design we call the Aircon Underwear and introduced our flagship line, Mr. Right. Our design takes the best feature of the boxer brief—no chafing—and eliminates the worst. How? By applying the chimney effect.
The secret lies in engineering the fit and material around the natural creases of the groin and butt crack. This subtle, clever design creates a natural airflow channel that gently vents excess heat, actively and naturally reducing the temperature “down under.” The basic reason is mesh can release heat much quicker than cloth, when a wearer’s temperature is higher than outside at down under, especially doing sport wearers are hot and wet; plus the chimney effect to evaporate sweat associated with heat at down under much faster. As the flow of blood affects temperature, we will use male thermal dummies (international standard manikin EN ISO 15831:2004 / ASTM F1291) to test.
